Jetsun Sangye Won Rinpoche (or Sangye On), who lived from 1251 to 1296, is a famous and gifted master of the Taglung Kagyu lineage, established by Taklung Thangpa Tashi Pal (1142-1210). He was the founder of the great monastery of Riwoche, which became the principal seat of the lineage.
